Surgical removal of moles
The removal of a dangerous skin mole is always done surgically, whether it is a large or small mole. In this case, the mole is removed along with the healthy tissue surrounding it for best results. The preparation is then sent for histological examination (biopsy).
In the event that a mole is very large and its complete removal becomes difficult (familial mole), it is removed in sections, leaving only a small incision.
Surgical Removal of Sebaceous Cysts
Sebaceous cysts can appear on our skin, causing a swelling at the point where they appear, but in some cases they can also be located in a less visible spot, resulting in us not immediately paying attention to them. Sebaceous cysts are mainly found on the scalp, face, back and earlobes. These cysts come from the glands that produce sebum, which flows out of a small pore into the skin. However, when this becomes blocked, the sebum, which is constantly produced, collects inside the gland, causing it to swell, causing the problem. The smaller the cysts are when they are removed, the easier they are to treat, while the better the aesthetic result.
Surgical Lipoma Removal
Lipomas are benign tumors found in the subcutaneous tissue. They are very common and are considered the most common benign tumors in humans. The size is usually small, with a diameter that does not exceed 3 centimeters, but sometimes they can be larger and reach the size of an orange or even larger. The cause of their creation is not ascertained, while in some cases it has been found that there is a family predisposition, or pre-existing injury. Their growth is slow and they can coexist in various parts of the body. They are usually found in the chest, shoulders, limbs and waist. They do not cause pain, are usually not visible most of the time and do not threaten health except in a few cases of malignant tumors of adipose tissue called liposarcomas. Their treatment is surgical subtraction.
Onychomycosis Surgery to Treat Ingrown Toenail
Ingrown toenails are a problem that causes discomfort and pain, limiting daily life for many people. They usually appear on the big toe but can also affect the others. They occur when the tip of the nail grows under and into the skin of the toe. There may be pain, redness and swelling around the nail. They are usually caused by inappropriate footwear, foot or toe deformities and incorrect nail cutting. Prevention of the condition includes wearing comfortable shoes with a good fit. Cutting nails straight across. Do not cut or round the corners of the nails and do not cut the nails too short. Visit a dermatologist at the beginning of the problem so that with proper treatment and instructions, deterioration and possible infection can be prevented.
Ingrown toenail is treated with partial onychectomy and phenol cauterization.
